This piece came from the Ayrshire bucket, collected some time in the last year. It has the clarity of transparent chalcedony with the dimpled agate skin that we fine with Ayrshire agate pieces. There's a single fine red waterline around the top, but since it's only one line I wasn't sure enough to call it agate.
The clarity of this piece is what makes it special. We find clear nodules all the time but those usually turn out to be quartz nodules. On a few occasions we find this nice clear stuff. There should be a slice of Moss agate with a similar clarity and Waterlines in the shop somewhere....
