This amethyst crystal is both unique in a worldwide sense and typical of the area in a Scottish sense. It has the compressed together shape we like to call "teeth". It's a slightly larger piece, over 200g. Chunky but very cool.
On the other side is the Epimorph of dolomite after calcite? Or perhaps vice versa. It is an interesting formation, characteristic of amethyst found in the Dumfriesshire hills.
This piece came from our last trip in October 2022. We need a top up but it's a hard climb. Stock is limited.
