A January Update from Team TSC

Less of a blog post and more of a news article, here’s an update on what’s been happening at The Stone Circle in the last few weeks.

January has just about gone and we all deserve a massive pat on the back for making it through the longest payday month of the year. It was exhausting, but we did it.

The Stone Circle has been going through some changes recently. We are planning on expansion into German crystals and minerals and are working behind the scenes to make that happen. In the meantime, the Scottish branch has been invited to display work at the Clydeside Collective… but more on that in a moment.

We are delighted to welcome many new followers from our social media channels. Between the Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube accounts, we are feeling the love and in serious appreciation of the support. It’s been mind blowing. We never suspected that the brand would be so popular. We’re not even at the end of the first year yet. You guys are amazing.

The website is going strong after a quiet month or two sorting things out. One half of the Stone Circle managed to change the title of her old Etsy store, so you can now find The Stone Circle on Etsy, too. We are spreading like a – well, not like a virus, it’s too soon.

Who are the Clydeside Collective?

The Clydeside Collective is one of a string of innovative artistic stores that help provide local creatives and artists with a place to sell their work. It’s one part art gallery, one part gift shop, one part creative outlet and 17 parts pure Glasgow. More than a hundred artists sell through the Clydeside Collective and they’re not the only one. If you are in the east of Scotland, you can head to their Leith store.

Both stores, and the London version, are providing artists and creators used to standing on icy market stalls in November with a safe space to display work. We might be biased, but we think their dedication to sustainable crafting, upcycling, and “bringing new life to old treasures” has the same feel to it as cleaning out your old memory box. It’s nostalgic and eclectic and sometimes glamorous and sometimes serious and always good fun.

We’re not sure if this is the best description but think of it as taking a bath in culture – Glasgow culture, to be exact.

Oh and they are having a coat exchange at the moment. If you have old coats to donate, hand them in to the store. If you need a coat but can’t afford one, you can take one, no questions asked.

What Next for The Stone Circle?

Onwards and upwards, we hope. We will concentrate on keeping the site up-to-date and the socials ticking over if you promise to give us a like or a comment when you see us pop up. We’re not quite sure what’s next but we sure hope you all will join us for the ride.
